I don’t care about your answers.
I’ve become very annoyed with the Tumblr Dashboard since the Questions and Answers feature become rampantly popular. It used to be that I would see only the posts of the interesting people I’ve followed on Tumblr, but now almost half of my dashboard is filled with Q&As.
Not all Q&As are bad. For example, I follow someone who answers solid design questions on his Tumblr and thus the content is interesting. For the most part though, the Questions are the same flattering bullshit: you’re so pretty, how are you so cool, omg where do you get your content (note: SEE THE SOURCE LINK, IDIOTS), teeheehee flattery! And the answers just make these people seem like a self-indulgent bunch of tools re-posting the flattering question with faux-modesty.
And then there’re the annoying Q&As which are basically the same question over and over again that some of you keep re-posting/answering. GIVE IT UP.
This is my way of saying I think Tumblr needs a private-answer function. Or a way to filter Q&As out of my Dashboard.
